Social media outage forces users to go offline for several hours; Facebook confirms on fixing bug

Social media outage was witnessed last night globally which brought down three of Facebook's platforms, including Whatsapp and Instagram. The social media outage lasted for several hours before it was restored. A statement was issued by Facebook in which the company said that it was aware of the problem that some people are having trouble accessing these apps and that the social media giant was working on restoring them. However, the company did not cite the reason for this glitch which has also happened in the past as well. Whatsapp also issued a statement last night after the global outage was witnessed.
