On October 3, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar  talked about “tit for tat\" during a meeting of the BJP’s Kisan Morcha. Khattar told the gathering to form groups of 500 -1,000 and be ready to even go to jail. A video clip of Khattar’s statement has gone viral on social media. In the video, Khattar asks people to pick up sticks (“tha lo dande\") against the protesting farmers. He said, “Form groups of 500, 700, 1,000 farmers and make them volunteers. And then at every place, ‘sathe sathyam samacharet’ (jaisa ko taisa) (tit for tat).” He added, “Don't bother about the consequences and if you go behind the bars for this then don't worry about getting bail. You will come out a big leader.” The Congress hit out at the Haryana chief minister for his controversial statement. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted, “In Gandhiji's country, it is shameful for the Chief Minister to inspire the youth for violence.” Watch the video to know more.
