After the BJP state leadership made a scathing attack on the Maharashtra Government over the Param Bir Singh episode, the Congress too launched a counter-attack on the BJP. Congress leader Sachin Sawant blamed the BJP for providing a safe passage to the former Mumbai top cop and linked the disappearance to the likes of Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, and Vijay Mallya. Congress leader Sachin Sawant said If Param Bir Singh has fled India, then there has to be a definite role of BJP in giving a safe passage to him. It is quite clear that saving Param Bir Singh supports the agenda of the BJP. Many investigative agencies that are probing the cases associated with former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh believe that they have fled the country.
