Artist Makes Wine Glasses Using Sand From Honeymoon on Request of Husband

This husband planned a really thoughtful gift for his wife as he asked the artist to turn the sand they brought from their honeymoon into wine glasses. The artist too came through and used the glass blowing technique to create beautifully textured glasses.

00:00I got this commission from a guy who wanted to turn his honeymoon sand into a gift for his wife for their anniversary.

00:08And I thought it was a really sweet idea because we do this kind of thing with sand and ashes all the time,

00:15but he wanted to turn them into something a little bit different.

00:18Normally I would suggest that we make this kind of a thing into a heart paperweight,

00:22but Brayden had a really cool idea to make these into wine glasses.

00:26He said that they were saving the sand for something special,

00:29but he thought that this would be a really cool idea so that he and his wife could drink wine together

00:34and enjoy, you know, a drink out of their new glasses.

00:38These turn out great and the texture on them is really, really cool,

00:41so I hope that they like them because I think that this is a really cool idea.
