MONIPURI RAASH UTSAV | COLORFUL FESTIVAL OF MONIPURI | BANGLADESH

Bangladesh is a land of colors & festives! There are many festivals of Native as well as of small ethnic groups. “Monipuri” is a renowned community of Sylhet region in Bangladesh, mostly live at Kamalgonj in Moulovibazar district. In every year, at full moon of the Bengali month Kartik, the Monipuri community celebrates this Raash Festival. The formalities and activities of this festival continue for about 24 hours which is very interesting! Starts at morning, run through midday, afternoon, evening, midnight and ends at dawn. Many tourists from around the country and from all over the world come in Bangladesh to enjoy this festival.
