Charanjit Singh Channi, who took oath as the Punjab chief minister earlier this week, held a meeting with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday to discuss the expansion of his cabinet. Amid all the tension in Punjab Congress since the appointment of Sidhu loyalist Charanjit Channi, a Cabinet expansion is likely during this weekend, according to sources. Captain Amarinder Singh had stepped down as Punjab CM last week following months of bitter infighting between him and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Navjot Singh Sidhu. As per sources, some of the key aides of Captain Amarinder Singh are likely to be dropped from the Punjab Cabinet while some new faces are going to be included in the cabinet. Watch this video.
