Mahant Narendra Giri, president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, was found dead in his room at the Baghambari Math in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj on Monday evening. The UP Police are viewing the case, prima facie, as a suicide. However, one of the seer’s most ardent disciples Anand Giri - who has been detained by the police has alleged that he did not die by suicide but was tortured over money and murdered. A probe team has been formed and the police have collected enough forensic evidences related to the incident. An 18-member team is conducting a detailed probe. Watch this video.
