Punjab Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi took oath as the chief minister on Monday morning, two days after the abrupt exit of Captain Amarinder Singh, who resigned amid a bitter turf war within the party. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Charanjit Channi but Captain Amarinder Singh skipped the crucial ceremony.
