India administered over 2.2 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses on Friday till 7:00 pm, setting a new record on PM Narendra Modi's birthday. This is the first time that more than two crore jabs have been administered in a single day.

Meanwhile, many states are opposing the proposal to include petroleum products in the GST regime. States generate a considerable amount of revenue from taxing petroleum products. Each state has its own taxation structure for petrol and diesel.
