Team India captain Virat Kohli announced yesterday that he will resign from the captaincy in T20 Internationals after the T20 World Cup 2021. This decision of Virat Kohli surprised everyone. However, after Virat Kohli's announcement, former Team India captain Sunil Gavaskar urged the BCCI to prepare KL Rahul as the next captain. The former captain told that after Kohli stepped down from the captaincy, the BCCI should prepare KL Rahul as the Indian captain in the future.

Team India के कप्तान Virat Kohli ने कल इस बात का ऐलान कर दिया की वो T20 World Cup 2021 के बाद T20 International में कप्तानी से इस्तीफा दे देंगे। Virat Kohli के इस फैसले ने हर किसी को हैरान कर दिया। हालांकि Virat Kohli की इस घोषणा के बाद Team India के पूर्व कप्तान Sunil Gavaskar ने BCCI से KL Rahul को अगले कप्‍तान के रूप में तैयार करने का आग्रह किया। पूर्व कप्तान ने बताया की Kohli के कप्तानी से हटने के बाद BCCI को KL Rahul को भविष्य में भारतीय कप्तान के तौर पर तैयार करना चाहिए।
