Rupani 4th BJP chief minister to resign in 6 months

In less than six months, Vijay Rupani has become the fourth BJP leader to resign from the post of chief minister. Rupani resigned from the top post on Saturday after being in power for five years. Earlier, on July 3, Tirath Singh Rawat resigned as Uttarakhand's chief minister, less than six months from taking oath. Tirath Singh Rawat was then sworn in as Uttarakhand's chief minister on March 10, replacing BJP leader Trivendra Singh Rawat. Tirath Singh Rawat was replaced by Pushkar Singh Dhami on July 4.
