According to Hindu customs, Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of the deity Lord Ganesha. Every year Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated with pomp across the Country. Also known as Vinayaka or Ganpati, Lord Ganesh is revered as the God of new beginnings and the remover of all obstacles.

Hartalika Teej के अगले दिन से Ganesh Chaturthi पर्व की शुरुआत हो जाती है। ये पर्व पूरे 10 दिनों तक चलता है। इस साल इस उत्सव की शुरुआत 10 सितंबर से हो गई और इसका समापन 19 सितंबर को Anant Chaturdashi के दिन होगा। जिसे Ganesh Visarjan के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
