'The distressing aftermath of Hurricane Ida in one part of Louisiana was caught on camera by Quincy Taylor.
Aerial footage taken by Quincy on August 30, 2021, shows the state of Hwy 40 (west of I-55), situated near the town of Independence.
From cars to trees and even houses, everything in sight appears to be partially submerged in floodwaters. A number of cars can be seen cruising down the flooded road in the shot.
The filmer said: "Hurricane Ida caused the floodwaters to rise on Hwy 40 near Independence, Louisiana. It has been rumored that it could take weeks before some parts of the country get power access again."
