Signal No. 1 up in Northern Luzon areas as typhoon ‘Kiko’ approaches

The state weather bureau on Thursday, Sept. 9, has not yet ruled out the possibility of typhoon “Kiko” (international name “Chanthu”) making landfall over the northern tip of Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the center of Kiko at 550 kilometers (km) East of Baler, Aurora as of 4 p.m.
