An emergency airstrip has been built on the highway in Barmer. It was inaugurated in the presence of Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari. This airstrip has been built on Bharatmala road. Aircraft like Sukhoi and Jaguar landed successfully on the three-kilometer long runway on the Barmer Highway. An airstrip has been built on the border for the first time in the country.
