A fisherman from Zamboanga Sibugay is among the five recipients of the prestigious 2021 Ramon Magsaysay award dubbed the Nobel Prize of Asia.
Roberto Balyon or ‘Ka Dodoy’ led his fellow fisherfolk revive their dying fishing industry, and transformed their province into a seafood capital and ecotourism destination.
