Despite the ban on mass celebrations in the wake of covid-19 by the Maharashtra government, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) were seen violating the covid-19 guidelines during their Dahi handi celebrations. The leaders were seen celebrating the fest without carrying face masks and maintenance of social distancing. The Mumbai Police has registered cases against some of the political leaders in this regard. While Mumbai Police personnel reached the residence of BJP MLA Ram Kadam on Tuesday after he announced to celebrate the Dahi Handi festival. Watch this video.
