Piero, a dentist, is divorced from his wife Roberta. For spending vacation with his kids Fiorella and Claudio, he purchases a yacht named Biba, Roberta's nickname. Roberta also arrives from Milan to board the Kabir, an engineer Casorati boat filled with rich snobs including Attilio. Piero's vacation does not begin well; the Biba is a half-hut that, as soon as it is given over to him, loses the propeller, requiring him to leap into the water to retrieve it. After a few kilometers of navigation, he is compelled to return to Civitavecchia for damaging a group of fishermen's net. Finally, after arriving on the Argentario's beaches, Roberta, concerned about the safety of her children, decides to abandon the Kabir and join Piero and the kids aboard the Biba. Piero and Roberta get closer when Biba arrives in Sardinia after numerous trials, but in Porto Cervo, Piero encounters Alessia, his nurse, and girlfriend, who begs him to suggest her to a well-known dentist. Piero goes to dinner with Alessia with an excuse, but he is caught by Roberta, and after yet another argument, the two realize they still love each other and want to be back together.
