Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association president Datuk Seri Wong Siew Hai says the country’s semiconductor chip shortage is not only due to the country's Covid-19 outbreak, but also compounded by natural disasters in other countries and the disruption at the Suez Canal earlier this year.
