Former Pakistan cricketer Rameez Raja is set to become the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, replacing Ehsan Mani. Ehsan Mani has resigned from the post of Pakistan Cricket Board on Wednesday, 25 August. Earlier it was believed that perhaps his office could be extended by one more year to 2022 but he confirmed that he had refused to continue as the chairman of the board.Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board, took the decision after his former teammate Raja flagged off to take over the post.

पाकिस्तान के पूर्व क्रिकेटर रमीज़ राजा पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के नए अध्यक्ष बनने की लिए तैयार है, जो एहसान मणि की जगह लेंगे। एहसान मणि ने बुधवार यानी 25 अगस्त को पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है। पहले ऐसा माना रहा था की शायद उनका कार्यालय 1 साल और बढ़ा कर 2022 भी किया जा सकता है मगर उन्होंने पुष्टि की कि उन्होंने बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष के रूप में अब और बने रहने से इनकार कर दिया था। पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान, जो पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड के संरक्षक-इन-चीफ भी हैं, ने अपने पूर्व साथी राजा को पद संभालने के लिए हरी झंडी दिखाने के बाद यह निर्णय लिया।
