Dirty Laundry

To us, seeing clothes, quilts, blankets, toys hanging between trees or in front of windows is an exclusive view for beautiful sunny days. Naturally you can't see them on rainy days. Eileen Chang used "wu su", a Shanghainese saying meaning "a disordered, suffocating sadness" feeling, to describe how the rainy season made her feel. That we can all agree on, I mean imagine falling asleep with the smell of sunlight on your pillow.
