For the first time since May 20, Kerala reported more than 30,000 fresh cases on Wednesday. The southern state has recorded 31,445 fresh infections and 215 deaths. It now has 1.7 lakh active cases and the test positivity rate is at 19 per cent. Earlier in the day, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said India has crossed the 600 million (60 crore) vaccination mark in the country. He also added that the Centre has requested all states to try and get all school teachers vaccinated by Sept 5. Watch video,
