The process of honoring the players who have won medals by performing brilliantly in the Tokyo Olympics continues in India. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday felicitated the Tokyo Olympic medallists with cash prizes in a ceremony at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Governor Anandiben Patel along with other ministers was present in the program. Medallists Neeraj Chopra, Ravi Dahiya, PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain, Bajrang Punia, and the men's hockey team were felicitated at the felicitation ceremony. During the ceremony, all the medal winners including Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra were presented with the cash prize. The state government awarded 2 crores to the gold medalist, 1.5 crore to the silver medalist and 1 crore to the bronze medalist. Watch this episode.
