Australia’s unemployment rate falls by 0.3 percent
  • 3 years ago
The unemployment rate dipped from 4.9 percent in June to 4.6 in July which is the lowest level since the end of 2008. The main reason that unemployment fell, according to the ABS data, is that the participation rate dropped 0.2 percentage points to 66 percent, as many people gave up looking for work during lockdowns.
