There have been four Covid-19 deaths involving those who were fully vaccinated, out of almost 13,000 killed by the virus, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed.

Those who received just one vaccine dose, meanwhile, accounted for only 80 deaths.

“Our recent clinical audit data analysis on ‘breakthrough deaths’ showed that among the overall 12,993 deaths recorded, 80 cases had been partially vaccinated (0.6 percent) and four cases had full vaccination (0.03 percent),” Noor Hisham said in a tweet.

Breakthrough deaths refer to fatalities among those who have been vaccinated.
