Ahead of India's 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that August 14 will be remembered as 'Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas' or Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in memory of those who lost their lives during Partition. "Partition Horrors Remembrance Day This day will not only inspire us to eliminate the poison of discrimination, animosity and ill-will, but it will also strengthen unity, social harmony and human sensibilities," PM Modi said in a tweet.
