Afghanistan's rapidly-advancing Taliban insurgents are marching closer to capital Kabul after capturing the country's second and third largest cities in a lightning advance just weeks before the US troops are set completely to pull out from the country. The seizure of Kandahar and Herat marks the biggest prizes yet for the Taliban, who have taken 12 of Afghanistan's 34 provincial capitals as part of a weeklong blitz.
Closer to home, the Kerala High Court pulled up the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government over deviations from the central government-mandated vaccination schedule.
Rahul Gandhi on Friday lashed out at Twitter for its clampdown on his account as well as on those of other Congress leaders. "It's obvious now that Twitter is actually not a neutral, objective platform. It is a biased platform. It's something that listens to what the government of the day says," he charged.
