In Celtics Summer League debut, Point Guard Yam Madar was one of the few highlights for the team as he showed flashes of his playmaking ability. Many fans have been anticipating watching Madar play all offseason, and vs the Hawks he showed up and put together eight points off 4-for-6 shooting over his 17 minutes of action, while sparking a 17-2 run to help Boston take the lead.

“It felt amazing,” Madar said postgame about playing an NBA game. “It’s a dream come true. Being on the floor, wearing that Celtics jersey, it’s amazing. It’s a blessing for me, for me family, representing them. It was great.”

Celtics Summer League coach, Mazzulla said Madar is finding his niche and is "great in pick-and-roll, he’s aggressive, and just trigger happy with making the right read, and that was one of the points of emphasis for him."
