NIA raids over 50 locations in J&K in terror funding case

In connection with a terror funding case, the National Investigative Agency (NIA) raided around 50 locations in 14 districts linked to the banned Jamaat-e-Islami.
The NIA sleuths, assisted by J K Police and CRPF, conducted raids at the residences of members of Jamaat-e-Islami, an outfit that was banned by the central government in 2019 due to its pro-Pakistan and pro-separatist leanings.
Despite the restriction, the NIA conducted the raids to prevent the resurgence of Jamaat-e-Islami operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
