EXCLUSIVE: PUV drivers lament slow payment under service contracting | Traffic Center

The waiting game for public utility drivers' payout under the government's service contracting initiative continues more than a month since the program ended starting July 1st.

PUV drivers lament the payment delays getting longer including their incentives. Affected jeepney and bus drivers in Metro Manila urge the Land Transportation, Franchising, and Regulatory Board to release the payouts before the hard lockdown takes effect on Saturday, August 6.

The Service Contracting Initiative which began late last year aims to so support PUV drivers with per-kilometer fixed income. As of June 30, LTFRB have released 1.5 billion pesos in payments and incentives to public transport drivers.

Joining us now is LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra.
