Maroon 5 not only revisits history with their latest single “Memories,” but they make it too: With the song’s Billboard Hot 100 debut at No. 22, the band landed their 15th consecutive top 40 single.
Such a feat is worth celebrating, but the ballad takes a more somber tone as it remembers “the ones that we got/ Cheers to the wish you were here, but you’re not,” Adam Levine sings in the chorus.
