Opposition MPs file motion to refer Takiyuddin to rights and privileges committee

Opposition MPs have submitted a motion to refer Takiyuddin Hassan to the Parliament's rights and privileges committee for allegedly misleading the Dewan Rakyat with his announcement that the emergency ordinances had been revoked.

The motions were filed by Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo and Sepang MP Mohamed Hanipa Maidin.

Gobind called on the Speaker to make a ruling regarding this and whether they will be allowed to debate the motion.
