The popular fast food chain debuts
its new chicken nuggets on July 27.
The debut campaign is called
"We come in piece. 8 piece.".
It refers to the new eight piece chicken
nugget meal offered by the company, .
as well as the company's public campaign
to bury the hatchet of the "chicken wars.".
The "chicken wars" refers to Popeyes' debut
of a wildly popular chicken sandwich in 2019, .
which was an instant competitor for fast food chains
such as McDonalds and Chick-fil-A. .
Social media lit up with customers trading barbs
over which company's chicken sandwich was the best.
