NSW considers tighter restrictions for south-west Sydney

As the July 30 end date of greater Sydney's extended lockdown approaches with no fall in new cases and increasing numbers of unlinked cases, health authorities are stepping up efforts to get people vaccinated in COVID hot spot areas. While few expect the lockdown to lift on Friday, there have been suggestions the state government might try tightening restrictions in the worst-affected local government areas and relax them in others.
