Tokyo Olympics: India beat New Zealand by 3-2 in men hockey

Indian men's hockey team made a grand start to their Olympic Games. Team India defeated New Zealand by 3-2 in their first match of Group-A on Saturday. The hero of this victory of Team India was Harmanpreet Singh, who scored the maximum two goals. Goals from vice-captain Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh and a succession of big saves from PR Sreejesh towards the end of the first quarter helped the Indian men's hockey team secure a win over New Zealand in their first match of the Tokyo Olympics. All three of India's goals came from penalty corners with Harmanpreet scoring twice and Rupinder hitting the target once. Watch this episode.
