How different facial fillers work
Vanessa Lee is a cosmetic nurse and the founder of The Things We Do, which has medical spas in Los Angeles and Chino Hills, California. She's answering common facial-filler questions and performing full-face rejuvenations on two of her clients. Filler is a volume inducer, mostly made out of hyaluronic acid, that helps add volume to areas that are shifting downwards because of aging. Common areas patients request are the eyes, cheeks, and lips. However, fillers can also be placed on the chin, jawline, and around the nose. Clients can see a difference immediately after receiving filler, but fully healed results show in about two weeks. One syringe of filler typically costs about $500 to $1,000, and results can last a year to two years. If someone is doing a full facial lift with fillers, such as a combination of the under eyes, cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, and jawline, that can cost anywhere from $6,000 to $10,000, and those results can last three to four years. If a client isn't happy with their results, hyaluronic acid fillers can be completely dissolved. It's important to visit a professional who will understand your face shape, ethnicity, mental and physical health concerns, and what to do if a treatment has complications.
