भारत और श्रीलंका के बीच तीन वनडे मैचों की सीरीज का पहला मैच कोलंबो के आर प्रेमदासा स्टेडियम में खेला जा रहा है। मेजबान श्रीलंका ने टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी का फैसला किया। पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए श्रीलंका ने 50 ओवर में 9 विकेट पर 262 रन बनाए। टीम इंडिया को जीत के लिए 263 रनों का टारगेट मिला है। श्रीलंका की ओर से अविष्का फर्नांडो और मिनोद भानुका ओपनिंग करने उतरे। दोनों ने पहले विकेट के लिए 49 रनों की साझेदारी की थी, चहल, कुलदीप और दीपक चाहर ने 2-2 विकेट हासिल किए।

Dasun Shanaka has won the toss and elected to bat first in the first ODI.
