AMA calls for NSW govt to impose Victoria-style lockdown

The AMA has called for the New South Wales government to impose a Victoria-style COVID-19 lockdown to combat the spread of the delta variant. Greater Sydney has been under stay at home orders for around three weeks but case numbers have continued to rise. AMA President Dr Omar Khorshid says the government's current approach will lead to a much longer outbreak.
