President Cyril Ramaphosa has authorised the deployment of the defence force in support of police operations in Gauteng and KZN. This following the horrific incidences of violence and looting across the country. The president says action will be taken against those who loot and continue with violence and intimidation. eNCA teams are in hot-spot areas this morning to get a sense of the mood on the ground. The brazen looting spree and violence have continued unabated overnight. That's despite the deployment of 2,500 soldiers to support the police.
