UP on high alert: ATS uncovers terror plot involving 'human bombs'

Following the discovery of an alleged terror plot by UP Police and intelligence agencies on Sunday, an alert has been issued in parts of Uttar Pradesh, including the Lucknow Commissionerate area.
Security has been beefed up in the districts of Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Unnao, and Rae Bareli, as well as in western Uttar Pradesh.
Prashant Kumar, ADG (Law and Order) said, “UP ATS has uncovered a big terror module. The team has arrested two terrorists linked with Al Qaeda's Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.”
The alleged plot was uncovered on Sunday when the UP Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) raided two addresses in Lucknow.
