Delhi on Wednesday recorded a temperature of 43.5 degrees Celsius, the highest recorded temperature for the city this year so far. Apart from the national capital, other states like Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab are also facing heatwaves. As severe heat waves continue, people in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab will have to wait at least a week for the monsoon rains to arrive, the IMD said on Wednesday.
