On National Doctors’ Day eve, locals attack doctors in Delhi over Covid-19 spread

Two doctors were allegedly attacked in Delhi on eve of National Doctors’ Day. According to police, “On Wednesday, a few doctors went to the shop of Bhagat Singh Verma Paranthe Walla in Gautam Nagar and allegedly consumed alcohol in the shop with Bhagat Singh. An argument ensued between the doctors and the shopkeeper and thereafter both parties assaulted each other. ”According to Dr Satish, “A paratha-seller started abusing, an argument ensued and he slapped me. We got into a brawl and around 30 people came with iron rods. If police say we had consumed alcohol, ask them for evidence."Dr Singh further added, “Doctors in Gautam Nagar have no respect, anyone comes here slaps the doctor and runs away.”
