On Monday, the NFL released an impactful video featuring the message, "Football is gay.".
The 30-second clip also states
"Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful.
Football is queer. Football is life.".
The message continues with "Football is transgender" and "Football is bisexual" .
Before the video ends with
"Football is for everyone.".
A league spokesperson confirmed to Outsports that the video is a response to Carl Nassib of the Las Vegas Raiders announcing he is gay last week.

In the message, the NFL encouraged people to
donate to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit focused
on suicide prevention in the LGBTQ+ community.
Last week, Nassib said he was donating
$100K to the organization during
his video announcement .
The NFL matched Nassib's donation just hours later.
