Corona has been wreaking havoc across the world for the last one and a half years. The two waves that have come so far have badly affected the health of the people. Some people have serious heart and lung problems due to corona infection. Doctors say that the indirect effect of corona is being seen in children as well. The problem of myopia in children is increasing rapidly due to corona. Myopia is a problem in the eyes in which people can see nearby things clearly but they have to face a lot of difficulties in seeing distant things. According to ophthalmologists, the worsening life cycle during the corona period has increased this problem up to three times in children. This type of problem is being seen more especially in young children. Myopia is colloquially known as nearsightedness.

दुनियाभर में पिछले डेढ़ साल से कोरोना का कहर जारी है। अब तक आ चुकी दो लहरों ने लोगों की सेहत को बुरी तरह से प्रभावित किया है। कोरोना संक्रमण के कारण कुछ लोगों में हृदय और फेफड़ों की गंभीर समस्याएं देखने को मिली हैं। डॉक्टरों का कहना है कि कोरोना का अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से बच्चों में भी गंभीर असर देखा जा रहा है। कोरोना के कारण बच्चों में मायोपिया की समस्या तेजी से बढ़ रही है। मायोपिया, आंखों में होने वाली समस्या है जिसमें लोगों को पास की चीजें तो स्पष्ट दिखती हैं लेकिन दूर की चीजों को देखने में उन्हें खासा दिक्कतों का सामना करना पड़ता है। नेत्र रोग विशेषज्ञों की मानें तो कोरोना काल में बिगड़े जीवनचक्र ने बच्चों में इस समस्या को तीन गुना तक बढ़ा दिया है। इस तरह की समस्या विशेषकर छोटे बच्चों में ज्यादा देखी जा रही है। मायोपिया को सामान्य बोलचाल की भाषा में निकट दृष्टिदोष के रूप में जाना जाता है।
