ED summons Ani Deshmukh in money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate has summoned former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to appear in court on Saturday for questioning in a money laundering case involving Rs 100 crore in bribery charges.
The 71-year-old NCP politician has been summoned to testify before the case's investigating officer at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in the Ballard Estate area.
Meanwhile, the central agency arrested his personal secretary Sanjeev Palande and personal assistant Kundan Shinde on Friday night after conducting raids in Mumbai and Nagpur on them and Deshmukh. Following the searches, the two were brought to the ED.
