Karnataka government to set up six new labs to study coronavirus

Karnataka Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar on June 25 said that state is going to set up six labs for genomic sequencing in the wake of concerns that Delta Plus and other mutated variants of the novel coronavirus could cause fresh waves of COVID-19. Karnataka Health Minister Dr. K Sudhakar said, “We are setting up six labs in the State for genomic sequencing. These labs will be located at Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubli, Vijayapura, Shivvamoga.”
