WB post-poll violence: Smriti Irani slams CM Mamata for ‘watching people die’
  • 3 years ago
Union Minister Smriti Irani thanked to Calcutta High Court to dismisses the petition demanding to stay or recall its order directing the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to probe complaints of post poll violence.

She lashed out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that it’s a first time in democracy that a CM tortured people of the state, just because of they didn’t vote her and asked her is any common man safe in the state in her regime. She further added, “I express my gratitude to court as this will give believe to people who were harassed, murdered, and women who were raped that they will get justice. I'm seeing for first time in our democracy that CM is watching people dying because they didn't vote for her.

Women are taken away from their homes and being raped openly, be it Dalit or tribal woman. A 60-yr-old lady reached SC stating that she was raped in front of her 6 y/o grandson just because she was a BJP worker. How much more rapes she'll watch remaining silent?”
