US makes Juneteenth, marking end of slavery, a federal holiday

"We must learn from our history and we must teach our children our history," US Vice President Kamala Harris says shortly before President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law, creating a federal holiday commemorating Juneteenth, the unofficial day marking the end of slavery in the United States.
