Rene has been serving the U.S. Navy in Japan for about three years. Once a year, she and her husband get a month of leave to go back home and visit family. Because they have to split that time between each family, Rene's niece Alyssa drove from San Antonio, Texas, to Houston to surprise her. The sweet reunion was truly a year in the making!
