Allegations of mismanagement in the cremation of Covid-19 victims in Koraput have surfaced. The kin of the deceased have alleged that they are being asked for extra money for cremation. For the cremation of each body, the government provides Rs 7,500. However, it has been alleged the victim’s kin are being asked for extra money for arranging wood, required during the cremation.
